The need for believers to offer themselves as a living sacrifice was stressed in Paul’s letter to the Romans. Right from the time of Exodus, God has always wanted a vessel (or container) to live in and to carry Him anywhere He wants. In today reading, God gave a definite instruction to the Israelites to make a tent that is sacred, so that He may live among them. God purposely emphasized that it is not an ordinary tent but a sacred one. This is drawing our attention to an issue that if you want Christ to make you his home, you must be sacred. This means that, you must live a separated life, a holy life and a selfless life.

To be sacred is to be pure, blameless and chaste. The best thing a man can experience is when Christ is living in him. It is Christ in a man that guarantees him God’s presence, favour, victory and dominion.  What do you need to do in this critical time? Know that, if the tent is not sacred, God cannot abide in it. One of the ways to be sanctified is through God’s word (John 17:17). Aside from this, you must shun all ungodly influences and jealously keep your garment unspotted. You must also do away with anything that will drive His presence away. May God grant you the enablement to consecrate yourself wholly to Him so that He can live in you in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Prayer Point: Oh Lord, make me a sacred tent so that you can make your home in me in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
